The Camps

The annual Mitchemp Trust camps take place in August each year.  The Trust works with schools, social services and voluntary groups to identify those children who would benefit most from this unique opportunity to develop themselves and make a lasting improvement to their lives..

For many, the experience of staying away from home will be new in itself: the chance to rock climb, explore caves and journey by canoe is beyond their wildest dreams. They start to work together as a team and gain a real sense of self reliance, self esteem and a responsibility for their actions.

We receive tremendous support from our friends at Uniq. They provide all the food for the camps totally free of charge. This type of assistance is invaluable and allows us to ensure that all our funds can be focussed where they have the greatest impact - the overall adventure experience.
