The Mitchemp Trust camps are about trying something new, experiencing different activities, meeting new people and outdoor living. They also give everyone a chance to see just how much they can achieve, and how much fun they can have, when they give something a go. So when the camps are over, why not get involved in something back home. You might already know about some of the clubs and organisations that are in your area, but there might also be something new or different you haven’t thought of before. There's lots of different options, from youth groups and activity clubs to sports teams and leisure organisations Maybe you enjoyed a particular activity, such as canoeing and climbing, and would like to develop your skills more. Or maybe you liked camping and outdoor survival; there are lots of ways you could get involved in more of this type of activity, such as through Scouts or Cadets. Some organisations do a bit of everything, and will give you the chance to try all kinds of activities and achieve recognised awards, such as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Follow the links to help you make contact with other youth organisations. Some of them are more general resources, and others will give you specific information about your particular interest. Have a look around and why not find something new and give it a go. If you would like more information please email Tessa Woodrow at The Mitchemp Trust.
